Job Description

This onsite position offers a competitive salary range of USD 31,600 to 91,133 per year, and a benefits package that includes 401(k), dental, health and vision insurance, and paid time off. A High School diploma is the minimum education requirement. You will identify leads, pitch goods and services to new and existing customers, maintain relationships, and support district sales reps in prospect development.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and meet territory objectives.
- Assist DSRs with account penetration and growth based on initiatives from HPC Sales Management.
- May cover for DSR vacations, leaves of absence, or terminations as needed.
- Research customer needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet those needs.
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends to develop new services and distribution channels.
- Identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators using market and competitor knowledge.
- Answer questions about products, prices, availability, and uses; provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
- Participate in onboarding and training of new sales hires.
- Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings.
- Communicate and collect accounts receivable as needed, working with the credit department to collect balances due per approved terms.
- Lift or carry laptop and product weighing 1-50 lbs, occasionally up to 75 lbs, to and from car, warehouse, and customer locations.
- Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule; troubleshoot issues such as stock shortages or special orders.
- Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and events.
- Attend general sales and district meetings and review daily and weekly reports.
- Perform administrative duties including preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining records, processing credits and pickup requests, and preparing quotes and menus.
- Meet or exceed deadlines for reporting and territory activity; participate in ongoing training.
- Contribute to training of new sales employees as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the ESL Team or Director of Sales & Merchandising.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Basic PC skills with proficiency in MS Outlook and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage a diverse customer population and collaborate with fellow sales associates.
- Effective negotiating, problem-solving, and persuasive communication abilities.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive for company business.
- Current automobile insurance with bodily injury limits of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, and property damage limit of $100,000.
- Must pass a pre-employment screening including background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screen.
