Job Description
CHC Hydronics invites you to join our on site team in Vancouver, WA as a Business Development Representative. This role emphasizes collaboration with consulting engineers, design/build contractors, and large end users in the mechanical and plumbing sectors, while managing Salesforce activities and driving proactive business development in the HVAC and R space. You will collect product specifications, support fellow BDRs, and engage directly with clients. The position offers a competitive USD 100,000 - 125,000 per year salary, plus an expense account and a car allowance.

Responsibilities
- Client interaction: regularly visits and communicates with clients
- Receives an expense account and car allowance
- Schedules customer visits and Lunch and Learns with factory personnel
- Supports corrective actions in collaboration with the service department
- Salesforce management: updates and creates Business Development Rep opportunities, tracks project progress, and inputs data on new projects, engineering offices, and client changes
- Provides timely project updates to the Business Tracking System
- Interprets construction bid documents to generate equipment selections and budget-pricing quotations using Salesforce
- Creates submittal packages and handles follow-up requests
- Works with the Quotations Department for custom-engineered product quote descriptions
- Establishes strong connections with engineers, end-users, and architects
- Educates and develops business in the HVAC & R sector within the BD Reps’ territory
- Maintains up-to-date product specifications for all items on the CHC line card
- Provides technical support to the Sales Department
- Stays informed on new product offerings and changes
- Assists the Sales Department by clarifying specifications and selecting effective strategies for project bids
- Works with Quote Developers as needed
- Selects equipment using manufacturer sizing software
- Reviews plans and specifications with the quotation department
- Acts resourcefully and communicates clearly with customers and within the organization
Travel
Travel is expected for this position.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree or suitable work experience
- Working knowledge of email, Internet Explorer, Excel, and Word
