Business Development Representative - Commercial Roofing
Job Description
Apply Rite is seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative to grow our commercial roofing services in Deer Park, Ohio. This onsite role blends new business development with managing your own lead and sales pipeline, while serving as a brand ambassador within the commercial construction community. Compensation includes a base salary plus commission.
In this position you will collaborate across the sales, estimating, project management, and subcontractor teams to identify opportunities, tailor roofing solutions, and build lasting client relationships that advance the company’s presence in the market.
Responsibilities
- Represent Apply Rite as a brand ambassador within the commercial construction industry.
- Engage potential clients including property management firms, asset managers, ownership groups, real estate investors, developers, facility directors, and general contractors.
- Identify and pursue large commercial re-roof and new construction opportunities.
- Assess client needs and propose appropriate product and service solutions.
- Customize roofing solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
- Build long-term, trusted relationships with clients.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Stay current with new products and services.
- Maintain visibility within industry groups and local construction organizations.
- Support marketing initiatives to elevate the company’s reputation and marketplace presence.
- Collaborate with the sales, estimating, project management, and subcontractor teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3-5 years in a similar role (business development or sales account representative).
- Experience with CRM software such as Nimbus or Pipedrive.
- Understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of construction methods and project scheduling.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Pay
Salary: USD 50,000 - 55,000 per year, with additional commission.
