Job Description

AxiaPrime is building a technology business that helps freight brokerages move faster, negotiate smarter, and reduce repetitive carrier communications. In this remote Business Development role, you will help expand customer adoption of the Freight Negotiation Platform across the United States while contributing directly to product and sales direction. You’ll earn a competitive base salary (USD 66,800–88,000) with performance-based commissions, and the opportunity for recurring revenue commissions depending on the compensation structure.

What you’ll do

Drive new business by identifying freight brokerages that can benefit from AxiaPrime’s platform, then guide prospects from first contact to signed subscription agreements. The role blends outbound prospecting, relationship development, product demonstrations, and disciplined pipeline execution across the sales cycle.

  • Research and identify freight brokerages and relevant stakeholders who could use the platform.
  • Build a pipeline through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, industry events, and referrals.
  • Connect with owners, operations managers, carrier sales managers, and technology decision-makers.
  • Present and demonstrate the Freight Negotiation Platform, including how it automates carrier email conversations and supports freight rate negotiation within brokerage-defined limits.
  • Explain how the platform streamlines load coverage and helps identify the correct shipment even when carrier emails are incomplete or inconsistent.
  • Describe how the platform integrates with existing TMS solutions used by transportation organizations.
  • Identify customer pain points, position the solution, and qualify leads by identifying purchasing decision-makers.
  • Coordinate product trials, onboarding, and technical demonstrations as needed.
  • Schedule discovery calls and product demonstrations, and follow up throughout the sales cycle.
  • Negotiate subscription agreements and close new business.
  • Track opportunities, customer interactions, and pipeline activity in a CRM.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Attend brokerage conferences, networking events, and industry trade shows.
  • Collect customer feedback to inform product features and sales positioning.
  • Explore new markets, partnerships, and sales opportunities.
  • Contribute to sales messaging and go-to-market strategy refinement.
