Business Development Representative I
Job Description
ACV Auctions is seeking an entry level Business Development Representative I for an onsite position in Buffalo, NY. The role offers USD 20 per hour and requires a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of two years in a B2B sales environment.
Overview
This position focuses on researching dealers, onboarding new customers, communicating the value of ACV, guiding dealers through the platform, coordinating with the onboarding team, responding to leads, and meeting predefined KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Investigate potential dealer prospects and assess their needs to tailor a personalized onboarding experience
- Convey the advantages of ACV, highlight differentiators, and articulate the value delivered to dealers
- Engage with dealers and dealership managers to motivate and inform
- Guide dealers through the ACV Auctions platform across mobile app and desktop, explain policies, and share best practices
- Proactively reach out to new dealers via phone, email, and text/SMS
- Collaborate with the Dealer Onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition of account information as dealers advance in the partnership
- Respond to leads and tasks promptly
- Coordinate effectively with the field sales organization and adjacent departments
- Capture key contact details and sales interactions within Salesforce
- Aim to meet or exceed all assigned KPI targets
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of two years in telesales within a business-to-business environment
- Competence in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to thrive independently
- Willingness to take initiative and deliver customer satisfaction while achieving goals
- Call center or relevant sales experience is a plus
- Experience in direct selling of commodity or non-commodity products, or a consultative sales background, will be considered
- Strong team orientation and adaptability
- Track record of achievement or recognition for performance
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- A sense of urgency and proactive drive
