Job Description

Director of Business Development position with Byrne Media in Roanoke Rapids, NC, focused on leading local sales, managing an active client list, and growing direct business through a multi-platform advertising strategy (radio and digital).

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and close new local business opportunities within the Roanoke Rapids market.
  • Manage and grow an established list of active clients, ensuring their long-term success and ROI.
  • Develop and present integrated advertising campaigns that leverage radio reach with digital marketing capabilities.
  • Serve as a marketing consultant for local business owners, helping them address business challenges through creative advertising strategies.
  • Represent Byrne Media as a visible brand ambassador at local events.

Requirements

  • Passion for small businesses and an understanding of the unique needs of rural markets.
  • Comfort discussing and selling digital marketing services alongside traditional airtime.
  • Experience in media sales (radio, TV, or print) or high-level local B2B sales.
  • Disciplined, organized, and motivated by a high earning potential tied to performance.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to build trust quickly with business owners.

Compensation
