The Director of Event Sales Development will lead outbound growth and relationship-building to drive event revenue and expand Puttery Miami’s presence across South Florida. This role owns sales goals, pipeline performance, and local community representation while ensuring opportunities move smoothly from first conversation through post-event follow-up.

Role Overview

You will develop and manage an active book of business across the South Florida market, proactively pursue new corporate, social, community, hospitality, and event opportunities, and serve as a trusted local resource for clients planning events. The position balances revenue targets with long-term relationship value, partnering across venue teams to support successful event execution.

  • Develop and maintain an active book of business across South Florida.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new corporate, social, community, hospitality, and event opportunities.
  • Conduct intentional outbound prospecting via calls, email, in-person visits, networking, referrals, community engagement, and other business-development activities.
  • Build relationships with local companies, event planners, executive assistants, HR and People teams, hotels, residential communities, professional organizations, chambers, destination partners, and other referral sources.

  • Own individual and venue event-sales goals and develop actionable strategies to achieve and exceed them.
  • Maintain an active, healthy pipeline across prospecting, qualified opportunities, proposals, booked events, and future business.
  • Evaluate pipeline strength regularly and identify where additional outreach is needed.
  • Track outreach, conversion, booked revenue, repeat business, lost opportunities, and key sales metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales activity and client information within applicable CRM and event-management systems.
  • Use sales data and market insight to adjust strategy and prioritize highest-value opportunities.
  • Represent Puttery Miami throughout the greater Miami market as a visible ambassador.
  • Attend networking events, community functions, industry events, client meetings, site visits, and related opportunities.
  • Develop partnerships and relationships that introduce new audiences to the venue.
  • Understand the local market, competitive landscape, major employers, business community, event trends, and seasonal opportunities.
  • Communicate the Puttery experience and translate venue offerings into client solutions.
  • Partner with Operations, Culinary, Marketing, and other teams to support successful event execution.
  • Develop event proposals and experiences aligned with client needs, venue capabilities, and business objectives.
  • Maintain clear communication from initial conversation through event execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Protect the client experience while balancing revenue, operational execution, and long-term relationship value.
  • Identify opportunities to grow event value through thoughtful enhancements, upgrades, and additional experiences.
  • Represent Puttery Miami’s presence across the South Florida market.
