Job Description

Based in Boston, MA onsite, Eppendorf offers a senior leadership role in the Eastern Bioprocess zone that blends regional revenue ownership with the opportunity to shape a high performing sales organization. You will lead the Bioprocess sales team, influence pricing and territory strategy, and cultivate valuable customer relationships within a global life sciences company dedicated to therapies and solutions that improve lives worldwide. Responsibilities

  • Direct and grow the Bioprocess sales team in your region, accountable for the full revenue line and the direct sales staff.
  • Coach, assess and develop the team; provide training on sales techniques, opportunity and account management, pipeline development, and territory/time management while mentoring their professional growth.
  • Set clear individual goals, quotas and performance expectations; contribute as a senior leader in management discussions and strategic planning.
  • Design and optimize sales territories and quotas; approve discounting in line with profitability targets and corporate guidelines.
  • Oversee all sales activities and ensure consistent use of CRM, quoting, and reporting systems to maintain transparency, forecast accuracy, and data quality.
  • Coordinate sales team participation at conferences and trade shows to ensure strong representation of Eppendorf Bioprocess solutions and effective lead generation.
  • Travel up to 50 percent of your time domestically and internationally to engage with sales, service, field applications, marketing, corporate events and key customers, strengthening relationships and driving regional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a comparable field from a four-year institution, plus roughly eight years of related field sales experience in life sciences and/or management oversight; equivalent education and experience are valued.
  • MBA or MS or additional commercial experience is preferred and aids in navigating complex bioprocess markets and strategic decisions.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing sales teams, including setting direction, coaching, accountability, and driving high performance.
  • Extensive life science field sales experience, ideally in bioprocess or related segments, with the ability to translate scientific customer needs into commercial strategies.
  • High digital fluency, including Windows, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, SAP, Webex/Skype/Teams, and financial analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset; comfortable working with pipelines, forecasts, pricing and profitability metrics to steer the region.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; willing and able to travel up to 50% to stay connected with the team, stakeholders, and customers.
