Job Description

The Group Sales Manager responsible for driving sales results by securing large group, association, and citywide accounts for the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center, focusing on relationship-building and delivering memorable guest experiences in a full-service convention hotel setting.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated history of booking and managing citywide, association, and corporate group accounts at full-service or convention hotels
  • Proficiency in CI/TY, Marriott's group sales platform
  • Experience managing a defined geographic territory and building a proactive outreach pipeline within that market
  • Ability to independently prospect, qualify, and develop new accounts without relying solely on inbound leads
  • Strong negotiation and contract closing skills on large, complex group contracts

Requirements

  • 3+ years hotel sales experience with a focus on large group accounts (100+ peak rooms)
  • Proven history booking and managing citywide, association, and corporate group accounts at full-service or convention hotels
  • Proficiency in CI/TY (Marriott's group sales platform)
  • Experience managing a defined geographic territory and building a proactive outreach pipeline within that market
  • Ability to independently prospect, qualify, and develop new accounts without relying solely on inbound leads
