Job Description
TeleCloud offers a hybrid role in Morristown, NJ for a Head of Channel Sales and Business Development. You will grow partner and direct sales across the NJ, NY, PA market, expanding the partner base, recruiting new agents, co selling on opportunities, and closing direct business with an AI native sales stack. The compensation includes a base salary of USD 150,000 per year plus commissions, with a $150K on target earnings and uncapped variable. Responsibilities
- Expand and deepen the partner base (MSPs, agents, and complementary providers) across the NJ/NY/PA tri-state
- Recruit new partners, conduct targeted outbound, secure meetings, present TeleCloud and AI value, and onboard them as productive sellers
- Turn partners into consistent producers by training them on positioning, pricing, packaging, and competitive plays
- Co-sell and close by leading discovery, demos, and ROI discussions on end customer opportunities, especially around AI Receptionist and AI Conversational Intelligence
- Serve as the AI expert in the room, explaining how offerings save time, reduce cost, and improve customer experience for SMBs
- Manage your business by owning your numbers, forecasting accurately, maintaining the pipeline, and following a professional, repeatable process
Requirements
- 4–7 years of channel sales experience in UCaaS, telecom, IT MSP, VoIP, or cloud communications
- Existing relationships with MSPs or agents in the tri-state area, or a proven ability to build them quickly from scratch
- Comfort selling AI-enabled solutions and articulating ROI for diverse SMBs, from a 20-person medical practice to a 75-person HVAC firm
- A competitive ownership mindset, including recruiting partners cold, driving activity, and closing deals from those relationships
- Strong sales fundamentals with pipeline discipline, consistent follow-up, and the ability to move deals to a final decision
- AI-native sales is required
- Active self-promotion of your brand on social media (LinkedIn)
- Use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools daily for prospecting, account research, outreach, and meeting prep
