Job Description
Morgan Hunter Companies is expanding its transportation and logistics practice and seeks a National B2B Business Development Executive to operate onsite in Overland Park, Kansas. The role centers on cultivating shipper relationships that require flatbed or specialized transportation, growing a freight book for flatbed and open-deck moves, and forging new partnerships as an independent contributor with strong six-figure earning potential. The position offers a base salary range of USD 50,000 to 75,000 per year, plus commission and meaningful upside for top performers.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new shipper relationships for flatbed or specialized transportation needs.
- Develop a portfolio of freight customers and increase recurring shipment volume.
- Collaborate with operations and dispatch to ensure smooth freight movements and keep clients informed.
- Negotiate pricing and transportation solutions with clients.
- Maintain ongoing client engagement so you are the first call when equipment moves are needed.
- Build long-term shipper relationships rather than pursuing one-off loads.
Requirements
- Background as a freight brokerage sales professional.
- Experience selling truckload or flatbed transportation solutions.
- Logistics account executives who manage shipper relationships.
