Outside Sales Representative - New Business Development 3+ Years Outside B2B Experience Required
Job Description
Cartridge Xchange is seeking an outside B2B sales professional based in New Jersey to drive new business development, prospecting, and local account growth through daily in-person visits. The position offers a base salary plus uncapped commission and long-term income potential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily in-person outreach to local companies to identify new business opportunities.
- Develop relationships with business owners, office managers, purchasing contacts, and other decision-makers.
- Generate opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and timely follow-up.
- Qualify prospects by assessing printer environments, number of printers, current ordering habits, and supply usage.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline through consistent follow-up and disciplined activity.
- Record sales activity, notes, and next steps in the CRM with accuracy and regularity.
- Adhere to a structured sales process and meet daily and weekly activity goals.
- Close new business and foster long-term customer relationships.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of outside B2B sales experience preferred.
- Proven ability to prospect and open new accounts.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable with cold outreach and face-to-face prospecting.
- Highly self-motivated and coachable with strong follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and maintain activity without constant supervision.
- CRM discipline and proficiency with sales tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
- Solid work history with explainable job changes.

Compensation
- Base salary of USD 50,000 per year plus uncapped commission.
