Job Description

The Regional Sales Director will drive revenue growth, expand Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc's market presence in the Houston metropolitan area, and build a high-performing sales organization. This onsite role is based in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve territory growth and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with field sales representatives to assess and enhance selling skills and territory management capabilities.
  • Establish and implement the organization's sales policies, procedures, and offerings.
  • Lead sales forecasting efforts and set corresponding performance objectives.
  • Oversee staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and maintain the sales program.
  • Direct channel development and coordinate sales distribution by defining territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Assign sales territories to representatives.
  • Represent the company at trade association events to promote products and services.
  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients in partnership with sales representatives.
  • Engage with key clients to support relationship management and assist with negotiations and deal closures.
  • Coordinate liaison between the sales function and related units to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Monitor and control division expenditures to align with budget requirements.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports detailing volumes, potential opportunities, and areas for client-base expansion.
  • Recommend and approve sales budgets and expenditures.
  • Hire, train, and manage employees; plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performance; recognize and address performance issues and complaints.
  • Engage directly with new and existing customers to grow the business through up-selling, lead generation, referrals, and by communicating product benefits.
  • Demonstrate and articulate details about products or services and assist with applying the best use cases for clients.
  • Answer inquiries about products or services and coordinate sales negotiations when needed.
  • Analyze and interpret historical and current sales data, trends, costs, and revenue to inform management decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive sales leadership experience; experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading high-performing sales teams.
