Job Description

Sales Manager position at Oldcastle Infrastructure in Kalamazoo, MI (onsite) with a salary range of USD 125,000 - 135,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a field-based team of Outside Sales Representatives to engage contractors, build relationships, develop specifications, and close project deals while expanding Oldcastle Infrastructure's market presence.
  • Oversee and mentor estimators to complete take-offs, improve quote accuracy, and maintain response times aligned with customer expectations.
  • Establish and manage a lead-generation system using professional sales tactics and networking within the engineering and contractor communities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve defined revenue goals.
  • Analyze market analytics to identify customer needs, set market-based pricing, and determine discount strategies.
  • Provide focused, service-oriented support to address customer needs promptly, applying knowledge of their business requirements to problem-solve.
  • Implement and manage quoting systems that produce complete, accurately formatted quotes in a timely manner, tailored to project requirements.
  • Set pricing based on OSR and estimator feedback, track won and lost opportunities, and maintain real-time pricing lists for the teams while monitoring time management.
  • Coordinate professional, timely communication with internal departments (engineering, purchasing, production, delivery, accounting) to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs with Outside Sales Representatives to customer sites, strengthen relationships, gather market information, identify opportunities, and demonstrate value as a partner.
  • Develop and maintain strong product knowledge and explore potential new product opportunities.

Requirements

  • Industry experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales management experience in industrial or construction environments encouraged.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM software.
  • SAP and Salesforce CPQ experience is beneficial.
