Job Description
Super Micro Computer is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth across its broad portfolio of server solutions for large enterprise accounts. This onsite role in San Jose centers on managing end-to-end sales processes for complex, multi-portfolio deals and building senior-level relationships with both current and prospective clients. The position blends strategic market development with hands-on deal advancement, requiring collaboration across teams to deliver sustained account value.
Responsibilities
- Identify and win new customers within targeted verticals and industries as defined by the strategic plan.
- Prospect, qualify, and close opportunities; develop target lists for vertical markets.
- Build relationships and convey product and market information to stakeholders.
- Oversee inventory, negotiate pricing, initiate orders, address credit issues, and negotiate returns.
- Foster strong relationships with prospects to advance opportunities.
- Consistently meet or exceed leads and quota targets.
- Produce necessary reports to track activity and results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; preferably in the high-tech sector.
- 5+ years of direct sales experience selling server and storage solutions to enterprise and Fortune 1000 companies (preferred).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across disciplines, cultures, and geographies.
- Proven track record of building relationships with senior executives and decision-makers.
- Demonstrated success in qualifying opportunities, handling objections, time and territory management, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience entering, tracking, and reporting lead activity.
- Strong multitasking and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
