Job Description

Super Micro Computer is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth across its broad portfolio of server solutions for large enterprise accounts. This onsite role in San Jose centers on managing end-to-end sales processes for complex, multi-portfolio deals and building senior-level relationships with both current and prospective clients. The position blends strategic market development with hands-on deal advancement, requiring collaboration across teams to deliver sustained account value.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new customers within targeted verticals and industries as defined by the strategic plan.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close opportunities; develop target lists for vertical markets.
  • Build relationships and convey product and market information to stakeholders.
  • Oversee inventory, negotiate pricing, initiate orders, address credit issues, and negotiate returns.
  • Foster strong relationships with prospects to advance opportunities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed leads and quota targets.
  • Produce necessary reports to track activity and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; preferably in the high-tech sector.
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience selling server and storage solutions to enterprise and Fortune 1000 companies (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across disciplines, cultures, and geographies.
  • Proven track record of building relationships with senior executives and decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated success in qualifying opportunities, handling objections, time and territory management, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience entering, tracking, and reporting lead activity.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
