Job Description

BDA (SwagUp) is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead a team of 8–10 Account Managers focused on new business and expanding existing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate 8–10 Account Managers to hit revenue, activity, and pipeline targets
  • Run weekly 1:1s and quarterly performance reviews, with ongoing professional development coaching
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for day-to-day questions, client scenarios, and operational blockers
  • Maintain a collaborative, high-performance culture centered on accountability and continuous improvement
  • Conduct performance management activities, including PIPs as needed
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard top talent to strengthen the account team
  • Recognize team accomplishments and reinforce a culture of collaboration and performance
  • Own annual sales outcomes by achieving and exceeding targets while maintaining healthy margins
  • Track individual and team KPIs, identify trends and skill gaps, and use insights to set coaching priorities
  • Partner with the Director of Sales on forecasting, sales strategy, and long-term business planning
  • Ensure Account Managers manage pipelines effectively, qualify leads, and expand revenue within current customer relationships
  • Support strategic deals, complex client conversations, and higher-stakes opportunities
  • Build new business through networking via industry events, leadership forums, and client engagements
  • Maintain a hunter mindset that balances new business development with growth of existing accounts
  • Ensure consistent adoption of sales tools and workflows including Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, Gong, Apollo, Front, and more
  • Keep team readiness high through adherence to process standards, communication expectations, and CRM hygiene
  • Identify and implement improvements that increase efficiency, customer experience, and team performance
  • Support data hygiene guideline compliance, including managing opportunities, tasks, and KPIs to required standards using insights from Salesforce CRM
  • Drive CRM and program performance analysis, with proactive recommendations based on findings
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Supplier Services, Technology, Sales Ops, Operations, and other teams to deliver seamless client experiences
  • Use client feedback including NPS and VOC insights to improve service delivery and product offerings
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards

Requirements

  • 3–5 years diversified experience in sales and sales operations
  • 1–2 years of management experience, preferably leading sales or account management teams
  • Proven ability to drive account growth, increase sales, and meet revenue and margin goals
  • Strong financial acumen, including ability to analyze budgets, margins, and profitability
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including with C-suite executives
  • Strong coaching, communication, and leadership skills focused on talent development
  • Highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable making decisions from performance analytics
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, Gong, Front, Apollo, or similar sales enablement tools
  • Comfort working in a collaborative environment that values ownership and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a startup-like setting with autonomy, while collaborating cross-functionally

Work Location

  • Indianapolis, IN (hybrid)
  • Required to live within a commutable distance of one of these BDA offices: Woodinville, WA; Dunwoody, GA; Round Rock, TX; Austin, TX; Troy, MI; or New York, NY
  • Flexible onsite schedule: 4 days per week in office and 1 day from home

Reporting

  • Reports directly to the Director of Sales

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $100,000 to $115,000 per year plus commission
  • Final compensation determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience
  • Listed range reflects the full base salary range for the role
  • This range is one component of BDA’s total compensation and rewards programs
