Job Description

Metaview is building a stronger SMB go-to-market in San Francisco and is hiring its first dedicated Sales Manager, SMB. This role combines leadership with builder ownership, including recruiting and developing quota-carrying SMB AEs, shaping qualification and deal motion from scratch, and driving an accurate forecasting cadence. You will report to the VP of Sales and lead SMB performance end to end.

Why this role at Metaview

  • Work with top co-workers in an environment built for cohesion, collaboration, and performance.
  • Supreme rate-of-learning as the team continues re-orienting how the world works with AI.
  • High compensation through cash and equity (OTE $330K–$415K with offers equity).
  • All the benefits you’d expect and more.

What you’ll own

  • SMB performance, quota, and forecast accuracy for the San Francisco market.
  • Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a growing set of quota-carrying SMB AEs, partnering with Recruiting to fill open roles.
  • Build the SMB qualification framework, including discovery standards and stage gates, designed for repeatable, fast-cycle deals.
  • Set up pipeline reviews, reporting, forecasting, and weekly deal-review cadence so the team runs consistently and effectively.
  • Coach reps on landing accounts and expanding seats, partnering with them on live deals to improve conversion and consistency.
  • Partner with sales enablement and PMM to translate training and SMB competitive positioning into day-to-day execution.

What you bring

  • Experience leading a high-performing B2B sales team, with depth of experience less important than evidence of exceptional leadership.
  • A record of delivering against sales quota in a high-velocity motion and enabling a team to do the same.
  • A builder’s mindset, with experience creating a qualification framework or sales process rather than only inheriting one.
  • Strong coaching and talent development skills, able to raise performance across high-volume deal flows.
  • Systems thinking to turn growth goals into pipeline standards, forecasting, and team rhythms without slowing reps down.
  • Customer-facing judgment and understanding of seats-based expansion to support account wins and growth.
  • High agency and high standards, with comfort building a new segment playbook with the team.
