Senior Area Sales Manager 1
Job Description
Emperion offers a growth-focused Senior Area Sales Manager role across the Pacific Northwest. You’ll develop new business and expand existing accounts in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska, building relationships with TPAs, insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and attorneys. The position involves travel, collaboration with the Director and Branch Manager on plans and strategy, and participation in the IME ASM Incentive Plan tied to quarterly goals. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop new accounts and/or expand existing accounts within the established geographic territory and product line.
- Provide servicing and support to current Emperion clients through weekly or biweekly in-person sales contacts.
- Prospect and support new clients by engaging TPAs, insurance companies, self-insured employers, and attorneys to identify managed care needs and demonstrate how Emperion IME meets those needs.
- Attend industry conferences and events with the aim of increasing business and revenue for Emperion.
- Frequent travel may be required within Washington, Oregon, and Alaska.
- Submit an annual Branch Plan with the Branch Manager projecting growth revenue from existing accounts and new business from prospects.
- Provide an updated Territory Blueprint on a quarterly basis.
- Update account Action Strategies every six months.
- Grow and maintain a monthly pipeline aligned with set and measurable financial goals.
- Participate in bi-monthly pipeline conference calls with the Director to review prospects with 75% or better probability of closure and address territory issues.
- Maintain a daily spreadsheet highlighting sales and account activity.
- Deliver product and service presentations to both existing accounts and new prospects.
- Maintain a strong focus on achieving quarterly goals for all products and services under the IME ASM Incentive Plan.
- Collaborate with the Director on planning and management of the sales territory.
- Participate in completing and submitting RFPs.
- Attend the annual Regional Meeting, typically including overnight travel, and present the previous year’s results and plans for the upcoming year.
- Work with the Branch Manager to ensure branch inventory aligns with monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.
- Identify the appropriate direction for leads to local, regional, or national attention.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of IME and Peer Review products and stay updated on developments.
- Manage marketing expenses related to conferences, entertainment, travel, and promotional items.
