Job Description

Gellert Global Group is hiring a Senior Area Sales Manager to build and sustain profitable sales of GGG products within a designated area. This remote role focuses on creating and executing a strategic sales plan that grows product distribution while meeting sales and profit targets, with close coordination across internal teams to keep customer orders moving smoothly from processing to delivery.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and drive sales strategies to increase revenue and expand market presence in the Retail Perimeter channel.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across multiple product categories to identify and grow sales opportunities.
  • Partner with brokers to ensure sales activities align with team objectives and support overall market growth.
  • Work with product management to implement promotional plans and pricing strategies.
  • Handle customer inquiries, follow up on sample requests, and support timely resolution of issues.
  • Research food industry trends and translate insights into sales planning and team initiatives.
  • Attend customer-facing events such as trade shows, buyer meetings, and sales calls.
  • Track and monitor customer shipments by reviewing open orders and helping resolve out-of-stock or delivery issues.
  • Manage and reconcile marketing accruals and deductions to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Keep internal teams and customers updated on shipping schedules, pricing changes, market trends, and discontinued items.

What you bring

  • 5-7 years of related sales experience in the CPG or food industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Food industry experience with retailers such as Kroger.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use insights to guide planning.
  • Flexible self-starter with a strong work ethic and results-driven approach.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful work style.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships across functional groups.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and both internal and external requests with a sense of urgency.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office and an advanced user of Excel.
  • Experience with Infor M3 ERP and Salesforce CRM is a plus.
  • Travel to client sites and trade shows, up to 40%.

Compensation

USD 95,000 - 145,000 per year, plus bonus. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
