Job Description
USCS Logistics LLC seeks an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive business growth for its bulk chemical operations. This hybrid role is based in Leominster, Massachusetts and focuses on securing new bulk chemical customers and contracted volumes across New England, increasing throughput of the facility’s existing bulk storage, warehousing, and chemical-handling infrastructure.

Compensation
- Base salary: USD 60,000 per yearly (depends on experience)
- Commission: Performance-based incentive compensation tied to profitable new business

Key Responsibilities
- Identify chemical manufacturers, distributors, importers, blenders, and end users who need bulk chemical storage, warehousing, packaging, fulfillment, or transportation support.
- Develop and execute a New England business development strategy to increase bulk tank utilization and facility revenue.
- Leverage existing industry relationships to generate qualified opportunities and secure new customers.
- Prospect independently using industry contacts, referrals, trade associations, conferences, telephone outreach, email, and in-person meetings.
- Build relationships with purchasing managers, supply-chain leaders, plant managers, operations executives, and other decision-makers.
- Assess each prospect’s chemical products, storage requirements, volumes, transportation needs, and operational challenges.
- Partner with USCS Logistics leadership and facility personnel to develop practical customer solutions.
- Prepare proposals, pricing recommendations, service agreements, and presentations.
- Manage opportunities across the full sales cycle, from initial contact and facility visits through negotiation, onboarding, and launch.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline and provide regular updates on prospects, projected volumes, expected revenue, and anticipated closing dates.
- Monitor chemical market activity to identify new products or market segments that align with facility capabilities.
- Represent USCS Logistics professionally at industry events and customer meetings throughout New England.
- Support long-term customer relationships that drive recurring revenue and dependable chemical volumes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Five or more years of successful sales, business development, account management, or commercial experience in the chemical industry.
- Strong understanding of bulk chemicals and industrial supply chains.
- Established professional relationships within the New England chemical market.
- Proven ability to generate leads, develop opportunities, negotiate agreements, and close new business.
- Familiarity with bulk chemical storage, transportation, distribution, terminal operations, or third-party logistics.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both executive decision-makers and facility-level operating teams.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable building a territory with significant independence.
- Strong organization, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout New England and visit the Leominster facility as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with chemical manufacturers, distributors, importers, brokers, or industrial end users in Massachusetts and the greater New England region
- Experience selling bulk chemical storage, terminal, warehousing, toll packaging, transportation, or third-party logistics services
- Knowledge of chemical compatibility, tank requirements, product handling, and relevant safety or regulatory considerations
- Experience with commodity chemicals, industrial chemicals, mining chemicals, oilfield products, automotive fluids, or other liquid chemical products
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, business, supply-chain management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
