Senior Business Travel Sales Manager
Job Description
Based at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, the Senior Business Travel Sales Manager oversees Local Negotiated Accounts and Corporate Negotiated accounts across 15 Hilton-managed hotels in the Midwest, with travel as needed. This onsite role centers on building and maintaining relationships with valued clients seeking group room blocks, meeting space, and food and beverage services, coordinating across properties to deliver seamless events. The position carries a salary range of USD 85,000 - 100,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for prospective clients seeking block room reservations, meeting space, and catering services
- Identify and pursue new business through timely responses, proactive outreach, lead qualification, and active prospecting
- Oversee the full sales cycle: conduct site visits, entertain clients, prepare proposals, set pricing, negotiate contracts, and manage post-sale service through fulfillment
- Develop strategic sales plans: design and execute strategies to meet or exceed revenue and room-night targets, adjusting tactics based on performance and market conditions
- Analyze sales performance: review lost business reports and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and competitiveness
- Support exceptional service delivery: collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill contracted services and maintain high levels of client satisfaction
- Inspire and develop the team: supervise colleagues, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive, productive work environment
