Job Description

Remington Hospitality is seeking an onsite Senior Sales Manager for its Las Vegas property to drive occupancy and rate performance in close partnership with hotel operations. This leadership role directs the sales team and plays a key part in shaping the revenue strategy alongside the Director of Sales & Marketing to maximize group business and overall profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an aggressive solicitation approach that includes outside sales calls, inside appointments, telephone outreach, email, personalized letters, video sales, and virtual tours.
  • Spend 80% of work time in active sales solicitation as a proactive Sales Manager.
  • Provide daily support to Sales Managers with account development, activities, sales calls, site visits, and business evaluation.
  • Assist the Director of Sales in creating an annual marketing plan that is realistic and aggressive; refresh your portion monthly to reflect market changes.
  • Develop a quarterly Action Plan aligned with the annual plan and current market conditions, outlining sales strategies and timelines for your market segments.
  • Send proposals on leads that fit the property profile and actively pursue conversion from proposal to definite status; issue proposals immediately after space is held.
  • Clearly document client room block requirements, suite/upgrade needs, meeting space requirements, budget, decision makers, and client hot buttons.
  • Gather, document, and route all necessary information for definite groups (billing, credit application, rooming list, VIP arrangements); coordinate meeting details, menus, and AV needs with the catering manager for follow-up.
  • Provide weekly group production forecasts to the Director of Sales to support property-wide forecasting.
  • Participate in Group Pick-Up meetings as needed and convey group changes (room counts, cut-off dates) to the Group Housing Manager.
  • Achieve all assigned KPIs, including sales solicitation goals, bookings, lead response times, and group pace.
  • Engage in weekly revenue calls as requested, presenting your group forecast and discussing the sales pipeline and transient rate strategy.
  • Notify the Director of Sales about any group offers or e-blasts needed for your market segments.
  • Submit expense reports weekly to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Prepare sales reporting required by management or ownership.
  • Maintain sensitivity to customer satisfaction and guest needs at all times.
  • Support the Director of Sales on special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years as a high-performing Sales Manager within Remington Hospitality or 5+ years in related sales experience.
  • Strong business communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to talk with clients and listen, demonstrating professional and courteous sales skills to promote the hotel.
  • Proven creative thinking to win business.
  • High work ethic and self-initiative.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Suite and sales systems; some travel may be required.
  • Adherence to attendance guidelines as per the employee handbook and property leadership.
  • Ability to work varying schedules to meet property needs.
  • Basic computational ability and attention to tasks amid interruptions.
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with staff, managers, corporate personnel, and ownership.
  • Commitment to staff and guest confidentiality.
  • Ability to lead departmental meetings and participate in hotel team meetings.

Physical Requirements

  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line phones, and scanners.

Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)

  • Standard office environment with long periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer (6-8 hours daily).
  • Occasional standing and walking; frequent fine motor skills for keyboarding and using a mouse.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; occasional standing, bending, reaching, or carrying items.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed.
  • Visual and auditory capabilities sufficient for reading from screens and participating in conversations and meetings; reasonable accommodations available if needed.
