Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Business Development professionals, emphasizing individual performance and career growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and prospecting excellence.
- Identify and groom future leaders, building a strong internal talent pipeline.
- Shape team structure and roles to maximize impact and scalability.
- Own and meet quality pipeline targets aligned to sales priorities and revenue goals.
- Implement a disciplined pipeline creation approach that prioritizes quality over quantity, boosting conversion and sales efficiency.
- Collaborate with Sales to ensure alignment on opportunity qualification, handoff, and follow-through.
- Position Business Development as a trusted strategic partner to Sales, recognized for consistency, quality, and impact.
- Strengthen the team's reputation through solid execution, clear communication, and measurable results.
- Champion the BD function across the organization, shaping how pipeline generation is valued and utilized.
- Leverage data and insights to manage performance, optimize pipeline health, and guide strategic decisions.
- Track key metrics such as pipeline creation, conversion rates, and activity effectiveness.
- Continuously refine processes, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Partner closely with Marketing to align campaigns, messaging, and target segments.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to ensure pipeline efforts map to go-to-market priorities.
- Influence stakeholders to accelerate pipeline generation and improve conversion.
Requirements
- More than five years of experience in SaaS business development, sales, or related roles, with WFM/HCM experience considered a plus.
- At least three years of experience leading Business Development teams.
- Proven success guiding and growing high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated history of delivering consistent, high-quality pipeline generation.
- Strong commitment to people development, with a track record of coaching, mentoring, and elevating talent.

The pay range for this position is $102,300 to $147,050. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
