Veterinary District Sales Manager
Job Description
The Veterinary District Sales Manager is a field-based, individual contributor role with Royal Canin, focused on executing the Veterinary BU strategy and achieving KPIs through account-specific sales goals. This position is onsite in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities
- Translate knowledge of products, categories, customers, and clinic data into actionable business opportunities.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned with clinic operational needs.
- Leverage insights to expand partnerships with clinics within the assigned geography.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with clinic decision-makers in the territory.
- Prepare and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations addressing the unique needs of veterinary staff.
- Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups across the business unit.
- Balance the interests of multiple internal and external stakeholders including Account Teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts, and Scientific Affairs.
- Build partnerships and collaborate with colleagues to meet shared objectives.
- Effectively execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
- Operate in a cross-functional, team-based environment.
- Navigate highly fluid, complex, and evolving business contexts.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with the Line Manager and adjust strategies, tactics, and investments to maximize territory performance.
- Budget and report expenses and sales activities accurately.
- Complete CRM call reports, expense reports, and presentations in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30% travel.
