Area Sales Manager
Job Description
CSL Behring offers an on-site Area Sales Manager role in Seattle, leading sales, market development, and account management within the neurology and nephrology focus. This position emphasizes disciplined planning, professional representation, and a strong customer focus as you build enduring relationships across sites of care to drive product adoption and meet territory targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of sales, market development, and territory business planning to achieve objectives.
- Meet or exceed sales targets through effective territory execution and strategic activities.
- Review sales performance and adjust strategies and plans based on insights.
- Keep accurate activity records and reporting updated in CRM and internal systems.
- Develop productive, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and account stakeholders.
- Engage customers across multiple sites of care, including physician offices, hospitals, infusion centers, dialysis centers, and specialty pharmacies.
- Utilize account based selling to manage complex, competitive, multi-stakeholder accounts.
- Identify opportunities to expand within existing accounts and pursue new business.
- Demonstrate strong disease state and product knowledge, with awareness of the competitive landscape.
- Understand market access, referral pathways, and access considerations relevant to customers.
- Communicate clinical and value-based messages aligned with approved strategies.
- Gather and share market insights related to customer needs, access barriers, and channel dynamics.
- Collaborate with internal commercial partners to support coordinated execution across accounts.
- Support approved educational programs and customer engagement activities.
- Ensure all promotional activities comply with company policies, regulations, and SOPs.
- Represent a positive and professional image of the organization externally and internally.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or a related field
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical, specialty, or rare disease sales experience
- Proven track record of consistent sales performance
- Experience managing complex accounts across multiple sites of care
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Willingness to travel, including overnight travel
