Business Development / Account Manager - MWD & Directional Services
Job Description
Trueshot LLC invites an experienced sales professional to join as an outside business development specialist focused on measurement while drilling (MWD) and directional services for oilfield exploration and production accounts. The role relies on established relationships with E&P operators and drilling personnel to identify opportunities, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain relationships with drilling superintendents, company men, and drilling engineers to map upcoming drilling programs and win MWD service contracts
- Actively prospect and cultivate new E&P client accounts across the region
- Present technical proposals that showcase survey systems, directional capabilities, and operational reliability
- Lead pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and service level agreements
- Track regional rig counts, monitor competitor activity, and analyze market trends to shape the sales strategy
- Coordinate with the MWD shop, operations managers, and field coordinators to ensure smooth project execution and high client satisfaction
Requirements
- Minimum of five years in oilfield sales or account management with direct engagement on directional drilling and/or E&P accounts
- Existing, verifiable relationships with E&P operators, independent drilling companies, or drilling departments
- Working knowledge of MWD systems, BHA configurations, directional drilling applications, and downhole tool performance
- Proven B2B sales success with strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot and the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience
Oil and gas sales experience: five years required

Bachelor's degree required
