Job Description

Spectrum Water Technology is seeking a Business Development Manager to support growth initiatives by uncovering new opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding the company’s market presence. This onsite role is based in Geismar, LA and focuses on revenue generation through sales strategy, partnerships, and negotiation.

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, maintain a structured pipeline through analysis and reporting, and collaborate with internal teams to support opportunity development. The position also includes representing the company during customer-facing engagements and supporting senior management with recommendations for new business pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle baseline client relations, including routine communications, reporting, and meetings, and manage resolution of client service issues in a professional manner
  • Develop and maintain a network of customer contacts across multiple industrial sectors and locations throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama
  • Conduct initial assessments of potential opportunities to confirm suitability for further development
  • Analyze sales data and produce regular performance reports, including pipeline status, forecasts, and competitive insights
  • Present identified business opportunities and recommendations to senior management
  • Participate in negotiations for agreements with potential customers
  • Use technical and sales expertise to represent Spectrum Water Technology for active opportunities
  • Maintain high communication standards throughout project development with internal and external collaborators
  • Coordinate with internal cross-functional groups, including projects and safety, to support collaboration and partnership when needed
  • Work with limited supervision to meet broadly defined goals and objectives

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • 5+ years of proven success in sales within industrial, construction, or environmental sectors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with strong presentation and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Background in equipment rental or water treatment businesses strongly preferred
