Job Description

FleetPride, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Business Development Representative to drive new customer growth in the Pittsburgh region with an on-site presence. In this role, you will identify prospective fleets, onboard new accounts, and collaborate with internal teams to demonstrate FleetPride’s value through tailored solutions. You’ll plan and execute sales calls, evaluate customer needs, and articulate how FleetPride solutions can address those needs to deliver measurable results.

You will build and maintain a robust pipeline by understanding the market, assessing competitive dynamics, and nurturing relationships that lead to long-term partnerships. Responsibilities

  • Know and understand the market you operate in to identify, onboard, and grow new customers within the FleetPride network; assess competitive situations (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) and educate customers on FleetPride’s value; maintain and update accounts with the cadence required (monthly, quarterly) and share updates internally.
  • Set clear objectives for each sales call before engaging; prepare by anticipating barriers and devising plans to overcome them; use CRM and sales automation tools to determine call objectives, topics, and preparation needs; after calls, log detailed, accurate notes and next steps.
  • Ask simple, direct, open-ended questions; stay observant for current and future sales opportunities and weave these observations into your questioning; build trust and engage customers in diagnosing their account needs beyond immediate requirements to uncover expansion potential.
  • Maintain open dialogue with customers about ongoing value delivery; understand what drives value for them and consistently communicate the value delivered by FleetPride; lead discussions to gather feedback and identify ways to increase mutual value, including incremental needs and opportunities.
  • Know which teams and resources to engage and when; be resourceful and leverage catalogs, call centers, third-party information, branch expertise, and other subject matter experts to obtain required information; maximize results by leveraging FleetPride networks and contributing as an active, valuable team member.
  • Understand the major parts offered, how they interrelate, and which parts are complementary; recognize the basic strengths and weaknesses of FleetPride’s offerings compared with competitors; translate competitive differences into advantages and guide customers to the best-fit solution; continually improve product knowledge to better serve customers.
