Job Description
Didion Orf Recycling is expanding its IT asset disposition practice in Saint Peters, Missouri, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable IT lifecycle management. The ITAD Electronics Business Development role centers on sourcing and purchasing used IT equipment and electronic assets from businesses for refurbishment, resale, and responsible recycling, while building relationships and growing the customer base.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with companies looking to divest surplus IT equipment and electronic assets, building lasting relationships.
- Acquire used computers, servers, networking gear, mobile devices, and other electronic assets for resale or compliant recycling.
- Prospect via phone outreach, email, networking, referrals, and industry events to expand the customer base.
- Negotiate pricing and purchase agreements that deliver value for both customers and the company.
- Monitor market trends and commodity pricing to guide purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with operations and sales teams to ensure efficient processing of acquired assets.
- Maintain robust customer relationships to drive repeat business.
- Represent the company professionally at industry events and client meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in IT asset disposition, electronics purchasing, or electronics recycling.
- Demonstrated sales, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience assessing electronics and estimating market value.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
