Responsibilities
- Field estimation: perform on-site assessments to accurately estimate costs and present detailed proposals
- Construction management: lead landscaping construction efforts, ensuring alignment with specifications, budgets, and schedules
- Client relationship management: serve as the main contact for assigned clients, maintain ongoing communication, and provide progress updates
- Business development: deepen relationships with existing clients, identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities, and generate new leads
- Proposal development: leverage computer skills to create comprehensive, professional proposals
- Project coordination: work with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to drive smooth project execution and resolve issues
- Documentation and reporting: keep accurate project records including contracts, change orders, and progress reports; provide regular status updates to management
- Horticulture and irrigation expertise: apply plant knowledge, landscaping techniques, and irrigation systems to optimize outcomes and advise clients
- Erosion control: implement measures compliant with environmental regulations to support sustainable construction
- Continuous learning: stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in landscaping and construction management
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in landscape and irrigation construction, including project estimation and management
- 1 to 2 years of sales experience
- Valid irrigation license and demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing efficient irrigation systems (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with arborist and tree care practices, including tree selection, pruning, and disease management
- Knowledge of erosion control methods and regulatory compliance
- Proficient in using computer software for proposals and takeoffs; familiarity with Aspire software (highly desirable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interactions with clients, team members, and subcontractors
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Leadership skills to motivate project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites
