Sales Development Representative
Job Description
At Weathermatic, the on-site Sales Development Representative role sits at the frontline of expanding SmartLink adoption from our Garland, Texas headquarters. You will identify and qualify prospective customers, build a robust sales pipeline, and schedule product demonstrations for Account Executives to drive growth of the SmartLink platform.
Role and Context
The SDR will partner with Account Executives to uncover opportunities, conduct discovery conversations, and communicate how our irrigation technology helps customers save water, money, and time. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by qualifying inbound and outbound leads.
- Prospect new opportunities through calls, email, LinkedIn, and other social channels.
- Develop creative outreach strategies to convey Weathermatic's value proposition.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to schedule Partnership Evaluations and product demonstrations.
- Engage in detailed discovery conversations to identify customer needs and pain points.
- Prepare executive summaries to equip Account Executives with valuable insights.
- Maintain accurate records in HubSpot CRM, tracking outreach and follow-ups.
- Shadow Account Executives during meetings and demos to continuously grow sales expertise.
- Learn the SmartLink platform thoroughly to explain its impact on efficiency and costs.
- Coordinate with Account Executives to identify and target strategic accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in sales.

- Base salary: $58,000 per year
- On-target earnings (OTE): $75,000 per year
