Job Description

Sales Manager position in Boston, MA (onsite) for Pyramid Hotel Group, with a salary range of USD 55,000 to 70,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted in-person visits in key markets to engage companies and associations.
  • Secure bookings for meetings, conferences, and social events from assigned territories.
  • Allocate the majority of time to direct outbound telephone sales.
  • Review and refresh legacy account files while pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Respond to inquiries from assigned markets and track follow-up dates for re-engagement.
  • Arrange and execute site inspections and ensure follow-through.
  • Represent the property at relevant trade shows and participate in association meetings, seminars, and events.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with corporate and association planners; keep active memberships in hotel industry associations.
  • Collaborate with departments that interact with convention groups to ensure seamless operations.
  • Prospect and develop new accounts.
  • Monitor industry trends and propose operational adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and recap reporting.
  • Organize and conduct comprehensive site inspections for the entire property.
  • Aim to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience generating hotel or resort sales revenue.
  • Track record of soliciting and managing group business in targeted vertical and geographic markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell to maximize revenue opportunities.
