Job Description

Polycarbin offers a hybrid role based in Boston, focused on expanding COREplus™ commercially in a region where regulated medical waste and hazardous waste services are in demand. You’ll own the territory end to end, build pipeline from scratch, and close revenue-driving deals, with support from internal technical and operations teams to ensure solutions are scoped accurately. If you like consultative, technically-informed selling and want to prove value through both cost and carbon outcomes using the Carbin Counter™, this is built for a founder-mentality operator.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close: discovery, waste-stream scoping, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Sell the complete COREplus service line including RMW, hazardous and chemical waste, and closed-loop recycling, partnering with technical and operations stakeholders to match customer needs.
  • Drive structured prospecting via cold-calling, referrals, and networking at industry events to maintain high activity in your territory.
  • Run consultative sales into EH&S, lab operations, procurement, and sustainability, often coordinating across multiple stakeholders on multi-site accounts.
  • Evaluate customer waste streams, regulatory classification, and account profitability to scope services and price deals correctly.
  • Stay current on customer-impacting regulations including RCRA, DOT hazmat, OSHA, and state medical and hazardous waste rules.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in CRM, ensuring activity, stage, and next steps remain up to date.
  • Land and expand by winning an initial site, demonstrating cost and carbon savings using the Carbin Counter™, then growing the account.
  • Own post-close execution by overseeing contract delivery and service follow-up to retain and expand each customer.
  • Meet quarterly closing and revenue targets.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of B2B sales or business development experience with a track record of closing revenue, not only sourcing.
  • Hunter mindset with a founder mentality: comfortable with ambiguity, self-directed, and motivated by building from the ground up.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to manage multi-stakeholder, multi-site sales cycles with technical content.
  • Working knowledge of environmental or regulated-waste regulations such as RCRA, DOT hazmat, OSHA, and state RMW rules, or strong drive to develop expertise quickly.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar) for pipeline and forecast management.
  • Comfort owning results tied to closed revenue and tracking a number.
  • Based in California or New England, or willing to relocate to one of those regions.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly across your territory for prospect meetings, site visits, and account expansion, including occasional overnights.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
