Job Description
National General invites experienced sales professionals to join as a Territory Sales Manager on site in Baltimore, MD. In this role, you will drive new business, direct written premium, and market share growth by guiding Independent Agents across the greater Baltimore and Annapolis area. The focus includes Household package coverages and a broad range of National General products.
Benefits

Responsibilities
- Integrate National General product data with industry technology and comparative rating platforms within the market and assigned agencies
- Promote the full National General Insurance product suite to Independent Agency Partners, including personal auto, homeowners, commercial vehicle, flood, RV, with emphasis on Household package coverages where available by state
- Develop and maintain the market's new agency appointment pipeline; support National Accounts and Alternative Distribution Initiatives to implement local corporate agreements with large Independent Agents, driving package product growth and coaching new Territory Sales Managers
- Consult with Independent Agents using strong knowledge of the independent agency channel, competitors, major brokers, and national associations to gather market intel and position National General products or propose market enhancements
- Execute the business unit's annual plan for the market, focusing on Household package coverages under the guidance of a Regional Sales Manager or Director
- Leverage production data and reporting to identify trends, capitalize on opportunities, and address agency performance; provide training to close skill gaps and educate on package products to drive growth
- Collaborate with Independent Agents to create agency-specific short-term and long-term strategic plans, reviewing and adjusting as necessary to achieve results
- Work with Product, Pricing, and Operations to conduct stakeholder and risk analyses on market issues
- Increase the quote and issuance flow of the assigned market beyond current rate and underwriting trends
- Serve as a key liaison within the market to independent agencies and industry associations; be field facing four days per week, driving initiatives and maintaining CRM records of sales activities, client interactions, and follow-ups
Requirements
- Residence in the greater Baltimore/Annapolis, MD area
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
