Job Description
The Area Sales Director, Chronic Therapies role onsite in Hoover, AL offers a salary range of USD 145,568 - 242,591 per year and centers on developing and executing the chronic sales plan, leading the sales team, and partnering with operations and cross functional groups to drive growth.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales targets and activity metrics for each therapy within the assigned geographic area.
- Mentor and develop the chronic therapies sales team through coaching and supervision.
- Shape and drive the rollout of the chronic therapies sales plan in the region.
- Plan and forecast resource needs, including staffing levels, budget, and key initiatives, to support sales expansion.
- Participate as a key member of the chronic business sales leadership team and cross functional groups to bring field insights.
- Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of the chronic therapies sales team within the area.
- Maintain strong visibility with the sales team via field days and regional meetings or conferences.
- Foster team morale and enthusiasm through ongoing verbal and written communication to maximize impact.
- Enhance sales presentations and lead by example, demonstrating success in generating new business.
- Collaborate with Market Access to identify and execute pull through opportunities in the area.
- Partner with Operations to strengthen relationships with branch management, ensuring alignment between sales efforts and branch capabilities.
- Coordinate with acute therapies sales leadership to deliver a synergistic approach to customers.
- Identify key opinion leaders in the area and cultivate relationships to leverage their influence.
- Pursue partnership opportunities with targeted physician group practices.
- Lead recruitment and oversight of advisory board members within the area.
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop and implement the Ambulatory Infusion Suite strategy in the area.
- Build and nurture relationships with professional medical societies in the area and craft strategies to drive results.
- Identify opportunities and build relationships with targeted patient advocacy groups to drive results.
- Monitor area trends across industry, market, competitor activity, and sales to shape plans that maximize opportunities and address issues.
- Serve as an expert in local market dynamics and the complex disease states served by Option Care Health services.
- Contribute to the design of the chronic therapies field sales team compensation plan.
- Track and manage sales activity to keep focus on priority offices and accounts.
- Ensure all area employees comply with Option Care Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Direct supervisory responsibilities including hiring, recommending or approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, and discipline.
Travel Requirements
- Willing to travel at least 60 percent of the time for business purposes, within state and out of state.
