Job Description

Blaser Swisslube Inc. is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join the sales team in Oklahoma City, OK with a remote work option. This role reports to the Sales Director and leverages deep metalworking industry knowledge, machining processes, and tooling expertise to support distributors and customers. The position carries a yearly salary of USD 100,000 - 110,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to expand market share across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and energize distributor sales teams about Blaser Swisslube offerings; lead recruiting, retention, and recovery initiatives
  • Oversee administrative coordination between the distributor network and Blaser Swisslube; organize and deliver Distributor Training Classes (Liquid Tool)
  • Apply Value Based Solution Selling techniques through role-based practice and apply product knowledge in customer engagements
  • Utilize sales collateral such as literature, brochures, flyers, SDS, productivity reports, and case studies to support sales efforts
  • Operate the standard sales toolkit, including a refractometer, hardness strips, and pH strips
  • Plan and document annual business review meetings with distributor management
  • Assess results, performance, sales goals, budgets, training needs, and the target account list, and develop a plan of action for each target account
  • Lead quarterly reviews with distributor management to monitor progress, adjust plans of action, and evaluate distributor performance via scorecards
  • Coordinate sales activities in designated open and protected areas
  • Follow and document core Sales and Service processes such as Customer Acquisition, Retention Management, Services-in-the-Drum, and Complaint Management
  • Develop relationships with strategically important prospects based on the target account list and recruit key accounts
  • Provide product and service information and initiate new or existing systems in collaboration with distributor teams, including machine cleaning and preparation
  • Apply VBSS techniques and document visits with mutually agreed objectives and action plans
  • Measure productivity gains and organize product training sessions
  • Maintain and grow relationships with top customers, delivering hands-on service and support
  • Monitor production, establish a plan of action, and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Identify partners for field testing in line with product manager objectives
  • Coordinate and run new product field tests, reporting results to the Product Manager or responsible Application Engineer
  • Build and maintain relationships with machine tool dealers (MTB), machine tool distributors (MTD), and CTMs
  • Oversee regional MTB and MTD programs under guidance from the Global Markets Business Development Manager
  • Promote the Voucher Program and support MTB and MTD networks
  • Promote Blaser Swisslube products and technology
  • Plan and deliver metalworking fluid training classes
  • Use the company CRM system to manage visit reports, scheduling, target accounts, and contacts
  • Identify and document market trends affecting our Liquid Tool offerings across distribution, customers, industry segments, competitors, and manufacturers
  • Support enhancements to the area operational execution plan and participate in trade shows and open houses
  • Generate sales, improve drum volume, and increase profitability while expanding market share
  • Uphold the company constitution and execute the overall strategic plan
  • Contribute to the productivity improvements of the organization
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the management team

Requirements

  • Experience in the metalworking industry with knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling
  • Strong sales, communication, and relationship-building skills; proficiency with MS Office and CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics or other)
  • Solid English language skills in speaking, writing, and presenting
  • Positive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks
  • Organized, hands-on, and committed to ethical business practices
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds and perform moderate to higher physical activity
  • Willingness to travel overnight domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time
