Job Description
The Regional Business Development Manager (Applications Sales Engineer) at Linde is responsible for identifying, developing and signing new business opportunities with regional sales, leveraging technical expertise and the Linde technologies portfolio in the West Region, with over 50% travel. The role is based onsite in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities
- Acquire new and grow existing customers in the designated territory, including prospecting, lead generation and qualification, market and customer strategy, business case development and analysis, proposal development and technology pricing recommendations, sales technical support, project implementation and startup oversight to drive profitable sales growth aligned with regional and national objectives.
- Continuously identify, research and analyze markets or niches, regional and local activity, competition, evolving industry needs, product applications and business opportunities; design and execute growth campaigns and related customer communications.
- Monitor competitive activity within the territory and develop appropriate response strategies; understand financial, user/customer, internal operations, and portfolio value and differentiators of Linde technologies.
- Establish and expand relationships with potential customers, industry consultants and vendors to support business development goals.
- Collaborate with internal partners including Sales, Linde Technology (LT), National BD, applications equipment and customer service; leverage all available Linde resources and work with other business development personnel and sales teams to shape sales strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree; engineering or technical background is highly preferred.
- Five or more years of experience, ideally in technical sales within a relevant industry.
- Ability to travel more than 50 percent is required.
- Proven track record of acquiring and growing a customer base, resilience and a results-driven mindset.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 88,875 - 130,350 per year.
