Job Description

Hotstart Inc is expanding its outside sales team to strengthen its footprint in Industrial and Heavy-Duty markets. This role combines remote work with travel to client meetings and industry events, empowering you to drive new business while representing the brand in conferences and trade shows. You’ll collaborate across sales, product management, and marketing to deliver competitive solutions for OEM specifications and the Power Generation market.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new business through proactive prospecting, on-site customer meetings, and disciplined appointment scheduling.
  • Assess opportunities for new product development and introduce them to existing and new customer segments.
  • Requires approximately 40–60% travel within the defined market sector.
  • Represent Hotstart at conferences and trade shows, actively pursuing leads and opportunities.
  • Source opportunities through networking, relationship-building, and rapid expansion of the customer base and markets.
  • Identify customer needs and present Hotstart solutions with confidence to enhance the experience.
  • Own projects tied to OEM specification system releases, ensuring successful execution and measurable results.
  • Monitor competitor activity and respond with timely, informed strategies to stay ahead.
  • Collaborate with Sales Directors, Customer Account Managers, Product Management, and Senior Sales Support to shape pricing and deliver competitive offers.
  • Coordinate activities through the Team Calendar to maintain visibility and accountability.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to maximize impact and return on investment at key industry trade shows.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization in collaboration with the team.
  • Conduct weekly reviews to prioritize and pursue the most promising business opportunities.
  • Assist Product Management with product lifecycle reviews and manage active part numbers.
  • Stay informed about customer announcements, technical advancements, and industry trends.
  • Monitor Hotstart's new product development initiatives and assess their relevance to the Power Generation market.
  • Use the Business Activity Module (CRM) for tracking and reporting activities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in sales and account management with strong negotiation skills.
  • Background with thermal management products, systems, or related industries is a plus.
  • Existing network within Engine, Power Generation, Machinery, and Marine OEMs is highly desirable.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
  • Effective communicator with experience in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with INFOR, IFS, and MRP systems is preferred.
  • At least three years of customer account management or related sales experience.

Compensation

  • Base pay: $79,015.34 - $95,158.26 per year
  • Wage range: $80k - $120k depending on experience
