Job Description

The Business Development Representative operates onsite in Harrisburg, PA, within the Commercial Sales Group. The role centers on identifying and securing new business in the commercial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical sectors, with a focus on surpassing sales targets and delivering superior customer service.

Compensation

Salary: USD 65,000 - 75,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within commercial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical sectors.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet targets and grow the customer base.
  • Perform market research to stay informed about industry trends and customer needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service.
  • Provide technical guidance to clients to help them select appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and generate periodic reports.
  • Monitor market activity and competitor movements to inform strategy.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in Business Development
  • Proven sales and marketing expertise with a track record of success
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Strong customer relationship management abilities
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strategic planning and business development acumen
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to accommodate client needs and sales targets, including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to travel frequently to client sites, industry events, and company meetings
