Director of Business Development
Job Description
This contract, on-site role leads the contractor-facing sales efforts in the telecommunications sector, focusing on identifying and closing opportunities across fiber deployment, OSP construction, engineering, splicing, staffing, managed services, and I&R. The position requires a minimum of five years in telecom business development with established industry relationships and is based on-site in Tampa, Florida. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans targeting ISPs, broadband providers, electric cooperatives, municipalities, utilities, and engineering firms.
- Identify, cultivate, and close new business opportunities across OSP construction, FTTH/FTTP deployments, fiber services, staffing, engineering, managed services, and I&R.
- Leverage existing telecom industry relationships to generate revenue opportunities and long-term partnerships.
- Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Build relationships with telecom decision makers including operations, engineering, construction, procurement, and executive leadership.
- Monitor BEAD, IIJA, RDOF, and other broadband funding opportunities to identify potential projects.
- Represent Triage Partners at industry conferences, customer meetings, and networking events.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM activity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of telecommunications business development or sales experience.
- Proven experience selling telecommunications construction, engineering, fiber deployment, OSP services, staffing, or field services.
- Established relationships with ISP, utility, cooperative, municipal broadband, and telecom decision makers.
- Strong understanding of FTTH/FTTP, OSP construction, fiber deployment, Central Office, splicing, and I&R services.
- Proven success developing new accounts and closing complex service agreements.
- Experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, or enterprise service agreements is preferred.
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 60%.
