Job Description

Summit Point Roofing Co is seeking a Senior Sales and Business Development Lead to drive residential roofing growth across the Novi and Detroit markets. This on-site role blends direct, consultative client engagement with market development, partnerships, and strategic expansion to strengthen Summit Point Roofing's footprint in the residential sector. Compensation ranges from USD 80,000 to 120,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with homeowners and commercial clients to identify service needs and deliver a consultative, value-driven residential roofing experience.
  • Conduct thorough roof inspections, generate detailed reports, and prepare accurate, compelling estimates.
  • Present project options clearly and guide clients through decisions with integrity and clarity.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication, relationship management, and post-sale follow-through.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with existing and past clients to introduce new products, services, and enhancements.
  • Actively identify, pursue, and close new accounts.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of referral partners and lead sources through strategic outreach and relationship-building.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to define and pursue industry-specific growth targets.
  • Represent Summit Point Roofing at company-sponsored events, trade shows, and community networking opportunities.
  • Identify emerging market trends and present actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Serve as a resource for roofing site supervisors, sharing lead-generation strategies and client management techniques.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records throughout the full sales cycle using company systems and CRM tools.
  • Operate as a collaborative team player while driving individual performance with a competitive, self-starting mindset.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in roofing, construction, or a related sales environment — 2+ years preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business and manage strategic partnerships, not just respond to inbound leads.
  • Ability to lift and set up a ladder and comfortably walk roofs in compliance with SPR and OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Strong organizational habits with sharp attention to detail and time management.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Proficient with technology; able to quickly learn new software and CRM platforms.
  • College degree preferred but not required.
