Job Description

Drive commercial growth for the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) segment across global accounts and strategic acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Own commercial strategy and development for the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) Segment, including global business growth and strategic acquisitions
  • Meet or exceed operating plan targets for Sales, EBITDA, and Trade Working Capital across all A&D North America businesses
  • Coordinate Key Account activities for Global A&D sites and acquisition businesses
  • Lead strategic initiatives for global A&D businesses, including DSG synergies, acquisition synergies, expanding VMI, kitting services, and e-commerce adoption
  • Directly lead, manage, motivate, and train Global Account Managers in the A&D vertical in North America
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to Program Managers in North America to support customer needs
  • Drive new business growth in A&D markets to gain market share and diversify
  • Stay current on A&D markets, customers, vendors, and competitors to support ongoing integration of acquired business units into Gexpro Services
  • Support acquisition strategy for A&D within Gexpro Services

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Ability to effectively manage a P&L operation
  • Experience leading, developing, and implementing organic and inorganic growth strategies
  • Demonstrated product and industry knowledge of the supply chain services segment
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial/contract management, managing project finances, and supplier negotiations
  • Strong executive-level presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to share information
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven record in decision-making and motivating others to deliver
  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
  • Understanding of key Aerospace Quality and Compliance requirements

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Ability to communicate with customers and staff to make accurate assessments of customer and branch needs

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to verify and calculate figures such as cost, commissions, credit, rebate, and profit
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data and reports and balance sheets

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization
  • Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, or schedule form
  • Ability to use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to analyze customer, branch, and employee problems and recommend proper courses of action
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements

Attendance Demands

  • Attendance required Monday through Friday during normal business hours
  • Required to travel to different locations nationally
  • May be required to work overtime, and occasional Saturdays and Sundays
