Job Description

The Business Development Director - Lab Services is responsible for identifying and closing significant business opportunities for Precision Bioservices in the assigned area of responsibility and/or region. This onsite role is based in Seattle, WA.

Compensation

Salary: USD 162,000 - 243,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Identify growth opportunities across the Bioservices portfolio, with emphasis on biobanking, sample preparation services, and specialty lab services.
  • Cultivate and expand client relationships.
  • Foster collaborative working ties with Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support, and Production teams.
  • Assess and qualify prospective leads.
  • Draft proposals and engage internal Bioservices experts as needed for consultation.
  • Develop project budgets and pricing using in-house resources to ensure accuracy.
  • Secure new business and broaden existing client relationships.
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and meetings as required.
  • Maintain contact records and opportunities in Salesforce.com.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of related sales experience.
  • Master’s degree with at least two years of related sales experience.
  • PhD with zero to one year of related sales experience.
  • Collaborative team player willing to share knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and develop plans to achieve personal goals.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically while acting tactically in a dynamic environment.
  • History of progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proven success in client relationship management and business development within pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO settings, with sales experience in biobanking, sample preparation services, and specialty lab services.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated to operate at a highly technical level.
  • Willing to travel up to 35 percent.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for driving in the relevant states.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.
