Job Description

In the Clever Energy unit at Tata Consultancy Services, this role targets growth in Engineering and IoT energy management services across North America. Based onsite in Santa Barbara, you will lead solution-based sales, cultivate strategic client relationships, and collaborate across functions to unlock opportunities across Retail, Banking, Manufacturing, CPG, ERU, and Utility sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sale of energy management services for North American clients spanning Retail, Banking, Manufacturing, CPG, ERU, and Utilities.
  • Present, promote, and sell the TCS Clever Energy Energy & Emission Management product to both existing and prospective customers.
  • Prefer candidates with a product sales background, especially in Energy Management or related product companies.
  • Achieve an annual OBV/TCV over USD 10Mn with consistent 10% quarterly growth.
  • Acquire at least one new customer per quarter and close large deals valued USD 10Mn+ every six months.
  • Close deals within 4–6 months with a WIN:LOSS ratio of 70:30.
  • Build strong client relationships by understanding client needs and jointly identifying their biggest energy management challenges and preferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote Clever Energy, driving new business opportunities.
  • Carry out market analysis and lead business planning and strategic sales activities. Track sales and report status updates.
  • Closely monitor client engagement levels, support business reviews, and implement measures to gain traction with clients.
  • Actively drive awareness of TCS Clever Energy with targeted clients through tradeshows, research-led thought leadership, client roadshows, and workshops.

Requirements

  • Around 13 years of experience with energy management companies (for example Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Rockwell, etc.) and a track record selling energy management products.
  • Certified energy expert with familiarity of BAS systems, EMS systems, software, services, and hardware sales in energy management for commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Experience selling products and services covering Energy Management, Digital Engineering, IoT, Edge, Cloud, and Analytics.
  • Proven track record selling services, projects, or programs valued around USD 5-10 million in the energy management space.
  • Ability to build client relationships and maintain a strong client network in the Energy Management space.
  • Experience developing sales plans for a customer portfolio and individual account plans.
