Job Description

This Spokane, WA hybrid role focuses on identifying and nurturing early-stage leads, coordinating outreach to potential clients across cutting-edge industries. Offering a competitive salary of USD 40,000 to 60,000 per year, this position requires a Bachelor’s degree and provides a clear path to professional growth within a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify companies that could benefit from Johnston Engineering’s expertise based on industry fit, funding raised, R&D stage, and company size.
  • Maintain and update the CRM with company details, outreach activities, and relevant industry insights.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, funding rounds, and new startups in relevant sectors.
  • Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, and other platforms to introduce Johnston Engineering and generate interest.
  • Customize outreach messaging based on research to improve engagement.
  • Track responses and interactions to optimize outreach strategies.
  • Coordinate follow-ups and handoffs to the BD Manager when a lead shows interest in discussing a project.
  • Prepare meeting briefs with background information on potential clients, their challenges, and how Johnston Engineering can help.
  • Assist in developing outreach campaigns and refining prospecting strategies.
  • Organize CRM data and track key performance indicators to inform business development strategies.

Requirements

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with a knack for identifying trends in data.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, experienced in managing a pipeline of multiple potential clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting compelling emails and engaging conversations.
  • Self-motivated and driven, able to work independently to achieve goals.
