Director of Business Development
Job Description
Based in Atlanta, the South Business Unit at SitelogIQ is expanding its footprint in the Georgia K12 market. The Director of Business Development will lead strategic growth initiatives and manage the end-to-end sales process for complex, consultative infrastructure solutions with a strong customer focus. This role centers on building executive-level relationships, translating district needs into actionable solutions, and driving revenue across Georgia’s K12 landscape.
Reporting into the South Business Unit leadership, you will collaborate with owners, district leaders, and internal design engineers to shape opportunities from initial contact through close, while delivering measurable value and a compelling cost/benefit narrative.
Responsibilities
- Promote the SitelogIQ value proposition to executive level decision makers by delivering comprehensive infrastructure solutions for the customer’s business and operational needs.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and partnerships within the industry.
- Track and coordinate the delivery of both internal and external project deliverables.
- Identify prospective customers through market research and the development of business strategies.
- Implement SitelogIQ’s sales process to cultivate relationships while qualifying and closing new opportunities.
- Recommend solutions and align them with customer needs and objectives.
- Positively influence design and construction discussions with owners.
- Collaborate and partner with SitelogIQ’s internal Project Design Engineers.
- Communicate the project vision and work closely on specifications throughout the design phase.
- With team support, credibly present cost/benefit analyses, financial evaluations, technology and infrastructure options, and differentiators.
- Prepare customer-facing presentations and written responses to RFQs and RFPs.
- Track customer interactions through SitelogIQ’s CRM platform Salesforce.
- Coordinate events centered around customer appreciation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in complex sales and customer management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven success in complex sales and customer management
- Ability to credibly communicate with executive level decision makers including K-12 school boards and superintendents, facility directors, and C-suite leadership
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings
- Problem solver and self-starter with a passion for serving customers
- Emotional intelligence and intuition
