Job Description

Minerals Technologies is seeking a Vapor Intrusion Sales and Business Development Manager to lead the growth of the vapor intrusion product portfolio across North America. This onsite role in Bethlehem, PA, partners with environmental consultants and engineering firms to shape specifications, deliver advanced technical support, and drive the market introduction of new products. It blends strategic account development with cross-functional collaboration to deliver value for customers and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Shape product specifications and positioning with environmental consultants, engineering firms, and key influencers in the vapor intrusion mitigation market.
  • Identify and cultivate new market opportunities, applications, and customer segments across North America.
  • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and operations to deliver projects successfully and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Expand market share through solution-focused selling that leverages technical knowledge and the portfolio’s differentiated performance.
  • Deliver high-value technical support, design assistance, and application guidance to customers and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee the commercial launch of new products, including training, messaging, and field adoption.
  • Create and implement a strategic account management program to deepen relationships with long-established clients.
  • Foster durable partnerships rooted in trust, technical excellence, and consistent value delivery.
  • Monitor account performance, identify opportunities, and align growth plans with company objectives.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with industry groups, standards bodies, and professional associations.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums through papers, presentations, and panels.
  • Contribute to industry dialogue on vapor intrusion trends, regulations, and best practices to demonstrate thought leadership.
  • Serve as the primary channel for voice-of-the-customer insights, turning field feedback into actionable input for product development and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with R&D and product management to support the new product development pipeline.
  • Help prioritize innovation efforts based on market needs, regulatory trends, and customer challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Five or more years of industry experience in technical sales, business development, or consulting within environmental remediation, vapor intrusion mitigation, or related markets.
  • History of securing specifications and influencing technical decision-makers.
  • Solid understanding of vapor intrusion mitigation technologies, subsurface conditions, and regulatory drivers.
  • Experience collaborating with consulting engineers, environmental contractors, regulators, and owners.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Willingness to travel by air and road to attend trade shows, job sites, and other locations as needed.
  • Personal protective equipment may be required for site visits.
