Job Description

Based in Seattle, WA onsite, this senior business development lead focuses on AWS Automotive and Manufacturing sector initiatives, driving cloud adoption and transformational deals, owning line-of-business pipeline, and engaging C-suite manufacturing leaders to translate OT challenges into cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a core contributor to shape market share and strategic direction for the Automotive and Manufacturing sector.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan aligned with the AWS direction, collaborating with account teams, industry solution architects, service teams, marketing, partners, and legal.
  • Segment the market, quantify opportunities, and actively engage key customers and partners including ISVs and system integrators, delivering the GTM plan.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on AWS capabilities to support Manufacturing and Supply Chain offerings.
  • Grow the business development pipeline through engagement with strategic prospects and partners; drive acceleration of active deals.
  • Assess customer technical requirements and collaborate with internal teams to steer product and solution roadmaps for the industry.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com and related internal systems effectively.
  • Deliver business reviews to senior leadership on progress and obstacles in expanding industry reach.
  • Support account teams through complex contract negotiations, coordinating with legal and compliance.
  • Manage a high volume of engagements in the fast moving cloud computing marketplace.

Requirements

  • A minimum of six years applying technology solutions within the Automotive and Manufacturing sectors.
  • At least five years in GTM, business development, sales, or consulting roles.
  • Five or more years working with enterprise application modernization and migration technologies such as mainframe, serverless, containers, or cloud operations.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse business and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership of multi-year, cross-functional initiatives spanning business and technology domains.

A Day in the Life

  • Engage with customers and support account teams throughout the day; travel as required.
  • Join team calls, generate reports, participate in business reviews, and flag resource or technology constraints.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AWS capabilities and collaborate with stakeholders to steer solution offerings while juggling multiple engagements in the dynamic cloud market.
  • Support internal and external events.
  • Contribute to strategic direction and pursue own initiatives.
