Senior Sales Manager
Job Description
A Senior Sales Manager role with Hilton in La Jolla, CA onsite, focused on leading group sales, strategic planning, new business development, and sales team management.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for prospective clients pursuing group room blocks, event space, and catering services
- Source new business by responding to inquiries, proactively reaching out, qualifying leads, and pursuing opportunities
- Lead the full sales cycle from site visits and client entertaining to proposals, rate setting, contract negotiations, and account fulfillment
- Design and execute strategic plans to meet or exceed revenue and room-night targets, adjusting with market conditions
- Review sales performance data, including lost business, to identify opportunities to improve conversion and competitiveness
- Coordinate with multiple departments to fulfill contracted services and maintain high levels of client satisfaction
- Coach and develop the sales team, monitor performance, and foster a positive, productive work environment
Requirements
- Minimum three years of hotel sales management experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of the San Diego market
- Experience with Salesforce and/or Cvent Navigator is advantageous

Compensation
- Salary: USD 75,000 - 100,000 per year

Typical day
- Be the main contact for clients seeking group accommodations, meeting space, and catering
- Respond to inquiries, proactively reach out to prospects, and qualify leads
- Conduct site visits, host client meetings, prepare proposals, set rates, negotiate contracts, and guide accounts through fulfillment
- Develop and adjust sales plans to achieve revenue and room-night goals based on performance and market shifts
- Analyze performance data to identify opportunities to improve win rates and competitiveness
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless fulfillment of contracted services and outstanding client satisfaction
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to maintain a motivated and high-performing environment
