Job Description

R&I Primary Care District Sales Manager role in Charlottesville, VA onsite, leading Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists and driving talent development within AstraZeneca's US BioPharma Respiratory & Immunology portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to meet performance targets through field activities and resource alignment with the team vision.
  • Develop talent by observing interactions with key customers and delivering individualized mentorship and feedback to support current role success and future growth.
  • Serve as a role model and liaison, fostering dedication, trust, teamwork, and motivation while enabling effective communication within the unit and with cross functional teams.
  • Proactively identify internal and external customer needs by building relationships, uncovering strategic opportunities, and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Manage multiple priorities and resources at both the individual and group levels, owning redirects to maintain high efficiency and quality of work.
  • Apply strong business ethics and use available resources to make sound decisions that support standards of business excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated sales, B2B, or commercial experience, or a combination of pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional, or related industry background.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and/or people management experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Desirable Requirements

  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales leadership experience.
  • Exposure to or experience in other functional areas of the business such as sales training, customer solutions, sales operations, managed care, or marketing.
